Mantras for a Successful Career

"I have no doubt this book will give valuable learning to new entrants to the Corporate world.  These softer skills and conduct are not covered well enough in the professional courses but are critical to build a successful career.  The book I would add will also provide insights to practicing managers as they make their journey to be senior leaders. After reading this book, one is swept with two thoughts : 1) I should have received this book at the start of my career, and 2), I should read it every year. The principles of Corporate survival, in this book, are conveyed via the age old way of articulating complex learnings through fables. Also, the Indian way of learning through the guru-shishya parampara comes alive vibrantly in the modern context. Finally, the book employs short sentences, and complex ideas in short sentences leads to fine absorption of them…Will recommend to all the Corporate warriors..

The book was a very interesting read. The individual anecdotes and the quick dissertation thereafter provide valuable insights which are typically learnt in one's career over an extended period of time, often at considerable cost. This book could help young professionals accelerate that learning and without going the hard way...

This book is the ‘Panchatantra’ and ‘Jataka Tales’ for those aspiring to succeed in Corporate world. But taking Corporate world as a microcosm of society, this book gives mantras for success in life as young aspirants move out of the protective cocoon of the college life. The story format of the book will indeed make a lasting impression on minds of the readers. While my son is still not out of the college, I would advise him to read it now.
